Today I am playing with Stamping Bella’s color challenge. We were to use these colors to make our project with a Stamping Bella stamp. This is the Photo Inspiration:
My daughter and I have been working on a vacation plan for visiting the National Parks in Utah and several stops in Arizona. We are both really excited about this trip which will take place next year. So I used Uptown Girl Melissa Has a Map for my 5″ x 7″ card because the colors rather reminded me of the Southwest desert. I colored the image with Copics an made an attempts at a background that is supposed to represent Monument Valley. I can’t draw, so I went for an impressionistic style. Did I succeed?
The colors are a little off in the photograph, They match the inspiration photo a little better in real life.
I did a simple finish on the inside:
The Route 66 “postcard” was cut from a piece of Carta Bella “Cartopia” patterned paper.
